CM Communications continues to provide marketing and PR counsel and services for the Boston Marriott Burlington surrounding its multi-million dollar renovation and launch of a new restaurant concept Chopps American Bar and Grill.  Agency responsibilities have comprised PR strategy, print and digital advertising planning and placement, community relations, social media marketing, print collateral design, and website design and maintenance.

Over the past year, CM designed and implemented a multi-channel marketing campaign to reposition the Boston Marriott Burlington as a stylish, comfortable, tech savvy place where guests and locals gather for business, dining, and socializing.

Given the hotel’s prime location in the heart of Burlington’s business district, CM forged a strategic partnership with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and top business leaders to launch a consumer-facing online contest entitled “Chopps Champions, Boston Marriott Burlington’s Salute to Local Heroes.”  Chopps Champions succeeded in inspiring members of the business community to nominate and reward local heroes in six industry sectors. Winners were honored at a 200-person reception at the newly renovated hotel and each was asked to choose a local charity to which the hotel donated $1000 in their name.  This highly successful campaign garnered tremendous goodwill, generated local publicity, drove website traffic, and increased engagement on social channels.  Hotel owners and management were so pleased with the results, they’ve asked CM to make Chopps Champions an annual event. Planning is currently underway for 2015.
