February 25, 2015

Battery Wharf Hotel, Boston Waterfront, now operated by Westmont Hospitality Group, has joined Leading Hotels of the World, heralding a new era for this boutique luxury hotel located directly on the waterfront in Boston’s historic North End.  Only the world’s most exclusive hotels are accepted into Leading Hotels.

Featuring 150 elegant guest rooms and suites with extraordinary water views, the Battery Wharf Hotel merges the North End’s trademark charm with a contemporary appreciation for history and sense of place.  Located on the pedestrian-friendly HarborWalk, the hotel features guest rooms with expansive views of the harbor and “Coast Guard View” guest rooms overlooking the neighboring U.S. Coast Guard Base, “The Executive Level,” an exclusive luxury lifestyle offering and the award-winning Exhale mind body spa and fitness center.  Battery Wharf is also home to 6,000 square feet of elegant meeting space, Aragosta Bar and Bistro, featuring Italian-inspired dishes, a pocket maritime museum, a 24-hour observation deck and private condominium residences.

“We are delighted to welcome Battery Wharf Hotel as one of our newest members," said Deniz Omurgonulsen, The Leading Hotels of the World Vice President, Membership. "Its conscious embodiment of its location and its embrace of the rich heritage of the Boston Waterfront make it an ideal fit in our collection of distinctive and unique hotels.”

“We are thrilled to join Leading Hotels of the World,” said the hotel’s new General Manager Trish Berry. “ Doing so underscores our commitment to deliver an exemplary world-class guest experience unparalleled in Boston.”

According to Berry, Battery Wharf Hotel’s new management team remains committed to the North End community and will maintain popular traditions and special events such as afternoon Tea by the Sea and nighttime jazz in Battery Lounge and outdoor seasonal dining on the Terrace, including hot buttered rum and S’mores by cozy fire pits during winter months.  The annual Flash Forward Festival, based at Battery Wharf, will return for its fifth year, kicking off Summer on the Waterfront featuring a Rum and Reggae Fest, jazz concerts and more.
