On behalf of the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce, CM Communications designed and executed a national travel PR campaign to enhance the island's reputation as a world-class resort and increase tourism during shoulder seasons.  Articles in national travel media touted the benefits of visiting the Island in spring and fall, thereby extending the season for Island businesses and increasing attendance for the Daffodil Festival and Christmas Stroll.  Early on, the four-year campaign delivered such dramatic results the Chamber of Commerce was forced to install new phone lines and was able to cut back substantially on paid-advertising. Today, the Island continues to enjoy its transformation from summer getaway to year-round travel destination.
